Step 1:  You need to visit google page to start click here google.com/business

Step 2:  Log in with your Google account i,e your gmail account

If you don’t have a Google account(gmail ), visit google.com/accounts. you can create gmail address free of charge.

Step 3: Enter your business name

Make sure you select a unique business name and not ambiguous names that easily turn client off, Be sure you spell your name correctly and use Title Case (where you capitalize the first letter of each word.) This is the first impression for a customer, Please make it simple as possible.

Step 4: Enter your business address

Customer can easily visit your location using google map, make sure you enter the correct address for ease of location, so Google can verify that your business exists.

Step 5: Choose a service provider

Select, whether you want customers to visit your storefront or if you work virtually or would prefer your customers don’t visit your office, be specific about the city or state, or a group of zip codes. 

Step 6:  Choose your Primary business category

Choosing your primary category is very important because it dictates where and when you will show up on Google searches. Google is all about relevance, so if a potential customer searches for “domino Restaurant” but you’re a pizza place, then you may not show up. If the customer searches for “the best place to eat pizza,” then you’d have a better chance of your business profile showing up in the search results based on your location. 

Step 7: Add your phone number and website

You might need to verify your phone number and website with Google My Business, so make sure your information are valid.

Step 8: Verify your local listing

According to Google, to manage your business information in Search, Maps, and other Google properties, you must verify your business listing. The verification process helps Google make sure your business information is accurate and that only you, the business owner or manager, has access to it.

1. To open your Business Profile, in the top right, tap Account Circle 
2. Tap Promote  Add photos.
3. Choose and add your photo.
